Young Company

Are you passionate about theatre and looking to develop your skills while performing on a professional stage? Our Brand New Young Company is the perfect place for aspiring actors aged 16-25 to grow their craft, learn new techniques, and work on exciting performance projects alongside Reading Rep’s professional shows.

Each session is broken down into learning new performing arts skills and workshops in theatre styles as well as hands on experience creating professional projects to perform on professional sets. Over the three terms the group will take inspiration for Reading Reps professional companies, from creating sharings based on Jason Robert Brown musicals to an adaptation of Willy Russels Educating Rita, from exploring the world of noel coward to Charles Dickens

To become part of our Young Company you must audition via a self tape. You will need to prepare and film an introduction and a monologue or song. For more information on how to audition click here. 

Mondays 6.30pm - 9pm 

Term 1: 21 September 2026 – 30 November 2026 (No class during half term on Monday 26 October)

Term 2: 11 January 2027 – 22 March 2027 (No class during half term on Monday 15 February)

Term 3: 12 April 2027 – 28 June 2027 (Class moves to Wednesday 5th May w/c Bank Hol Mon 3 May and there are no classes Monday 24 May & Monday 31 May)
