Mark your calendars!
Reading Pride 2025 will be held on Saturday, 30th August at Kings Meadow, RG1 8BN.
This vibrant celebration of love, diversity, and community is FREE to attend, thanks to the generous support of our community donors and sponsors.
Whether you’re a familiar face or a first-timer, we’re rolling out the rainbow carpet for everyone!
The Reading Pride 2025 Parade brings the spirit of Pride to the centre of Reading and provides an opportunity for groups, organisations and individuals to show their support for both Pride and the ongoing campaign for equality.
As we continue to grow, we have made some changes to the route this year. The key information you need to plan your day is listed below.
Starting Location: Reading Station Main Entrance, opposite The Oakford Social Club.
When: 30th August, gathering 10am – 10.30am for setting off at 11am.
Finishing Location: Kings Meadow at approximately 12pm for the opening of Reading Pride.
If you are attending as a group representing a company or community organisation, you must register to book a place to join us. This is essential to help us plan ahead the order and ensure we have provisioned enough stewards, security and medical personnel. If you are coming alone or in a small group as individuals, there is no need to register, just turn up on the day and you’ll be placed towards the back.
Thanks to the generous support of our headline sponsor, Unite the Union, Jordan will be bringing their razor-sharp wit and unforgettable humour to Reading Pride.
Jordan rose to fame as the first transgender contestant on The Voice UK in 2016. Jordan moved into comedy, gaining widespread acclaim for her bold, musical stand-up performances that blend humour with personal and political themes.
You might have seen her on TikTok, on Instagram, on comedy shows or her recent ITV sitcom Transaction… but now see her in Reading!

Hosted by: Wilma, Bodacia, Martha d'Arthur & Son Of a Tutu
Hosted by the fabulous Miss Charley O'llocks & Grace Anatomy, PrideXtra is proud to be Reading Pride’s Community Stage, celebrating local talent, drag artists, live music, comedy and more!
Also featuring:
Live music performed by local musicians. The Colours & Fires stage is not to be missed! ‘Sophie’s Stage’ is a much-loved platform curated for local LGBTQ+ artists and allies to perform live.
Designed as an alternative to the main stage, Pride aLive has grown into a vibrant, community-focused space within Reading Pride.
For 2025, as a tribute to Sophie Sheehan’s vision, contribution, and legacy, Reading Pride has renamed the Pride aLive stage to the Colours & Fires stage.
Reading, get those pride flags out. Let’s do Sophie proud.
It's been a challenging year for Pride events nationwide, with cancellations due to funding and volunteer shortages. Reading Pride is experiencing similar difficulties and we don’t want to put up a similar announcement - but we have to face the facts. Each year, it costs over £110,000 to host the Reading Pride Parade and Festival and our dedicated volunteer committee works tirelessly to raise every single penny.
