Workshop: Mixed Media Collage with Anne Wilson

Saturday 24 January, 10:30am - 4pm

This one-day workshop invites you to explore the Greenspace Gallery, where you’ll draw inspiration from the museum's fascinating animal and nature displays.

The Greenspace is a vibrant and immersive space, featuring a rich collection of natural history objects, from taxidermy specimens to botanical artifacts.

Under the guidance of artist and illustrator Anne Wilson, you’ll begin by observing and sketching these objects, capturing the textures, forms, and intricate details of the natural world. Following your drawings, you’ll experiment with mixed media techniques, layering your sketches with various materials to create dynamic and unique collages.

This workshop encourages creative expression, inviting you to connect with nature, history, and art in a hands-on, relaxing environment. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind mixed media piece inspired by the museum's rich collection.
