In partnership with East Berkshire Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC)
Pilgrimage for Palestine is a creative solidarity walk bringing poetry, reflection, and public engagement to towns and cities across the UK. Founded by poet and playwright Peter Oswald, the pilgrimage combines walking with poetry readings that centre the voices and experiences of Palestinian children and communities. The project also supports The Hands Up Project, which connects young people in Palestine with international audiences through creativity and storytelling.
This year, the pilgrimage will pass through Reading, Maidenhead, and Slough, and we are honoured to host stops in all three towns.
What to expect
This will be an evening of voices and verse. It’s an opportunity to listen, learn, and stand in solidarity with those using pilgrimage and poetry as a form of peaceful protest and connection.
- Poetry Readings: Hear powerful poems that give voice to the human reality of life in Palestine.
- Meet the Pilgrims: Listen to Peter Oswald and fellow pilgrims share the stories and motivations behind their journey.
- Community Gathering: Connect with others who are committed to human rights, justice, and solidarity with Palestine.
If you are a local poet and would look like to perform, please register your interest by email at eastberkshirepsc@gmail.com
