On Sunday 8 November members of public are invited to attend the Remembrance Service at Reading Minster at 9.30am (and be seated by 9:20am) followed by a parade through the town centre to the Forbury Gardens at around 10.15am.
The Remembrance Ceremony at the Forbury War Memorial will for the first time include a Humanist reading by local celebrant, Helen Walkington. The ceremony includes two-minute silence at 11am followed by the laying of wreathes.
Reading Humanists have attended the service, laid a wreath since 2022 and have been invited to speak at the ceremony at the Forbury War Memorial for the first time this year.
You are welcome to join the ceremony and/or cermemony at the memorial.
