The crisis in prisons and what happens next

Andrew Neilson, Director of Campaigns at the Howard League for Penal Reform, will speak on the prison capacity crisis, the damaging impact of overcrowding in prisons, and on what the government might do to provide a lasting solution to the problem.

The Howard League is the oldest prison reform charity in the world. Andrew leads on its policy, public affairs, and communications work and has worked for the charity since 2007. Prior to this, he was a civil servant.
