La France et l'art : personnages, lieux et influences.

This month the French Circle meeting in Caversham looks at art.  Join us for a glass of wine and some ‘bavardage’ before Annabel explores some of the most famous paintings from the late nineteenth century. Inspired by the current exhibition at the National Gallery in London, she will focus on the Neo-Impressionist artists of the Pointillist movement, examining the key political and geographical influences that led them to choose light on the water as the primary subject for their shimmering, vibrant masterpieces.

Inspirée par l'exposition actuelle à la National Gallery de Londres, cette conférence explorera certaines des peintures les plus célèbres de la fin du XIXe siècle.
