Reading Climate Festival 2024

Reading Climate Festival offers two weeks of FREE events to inspire and support Reading’s journey to a happier, healthier, net-zero town.
The programme has something for everyone – including a few whole town events:
- A Youth Mobilisation Day organised by and for young people
- Events to help local businesses and schools measure, understand and reduced their climate impacts
- A chance for your organisation to be part of a collective pledge to work towards net zero in Reading
- A buzzy, immersive sonic art installation in Reading Town Square
- Wellbeing walks and talks about our amazing local nature
- Events to help householders reduce bills and create warmer homes
- A Big Lunch in Forbury Gardens for the whole community, with music and climate-friendly street food, and much, much more.
- From local to global: how the climate stripes spread a message around the world: Professor Ed Hawkins MBE - climate scientist and IPCC author, and creator of the famous climate warming stripes - in conversation at the Concert Hall.
