French Food Market

11 – 12 April

A little slice of France is heading to Reading this spring as the much-loved French Market returns to Broad Street from 11 – 12 April, transforming the town centre into a vibrant celebration of French food, drink and culture.

For a whole delicious weekend, Broad Street will be filled with the sights, sounds and irresistible aromas of a traditional French market. Visitors can indulge in a mouth-watering mix of sweet and savoury favourites, from artisan cheeses, charcuterie and freshly baked breads to buttery croissants, pâtisserie and delicate crêpes. Street food lovers can tuck into comforting classics like tartiflette, croque monsieur and moules frites, while those with a sweet tooth can enjoy everything from macarons to indulgent desserts.

There’ll be plenty to sip too, with refreshing soft drinks, barista coffee, crisp beers, cocktails and wines perfect for enjoying as you browse.

Alongside the food and drink, expect boutique shopping and live Baroque music from 3pm - 7pm on Saturday.

Whether you’re meeting friends, entertaining the kids or simply treating yourself, the French Market promises a weekend getaway right here in Reading. No passport required!
