Life Drawing with Jelly
at Reading Biscuit Factory
2nd Monday every month, 6:30pm
An exploration of film + culture through the medium of life drawing.
In each workshop of this series led by artist and filmmaker Matt Hulse, we’ll be inspired by film and cinema. From Titanic to art house to international films, explore your creativity in these workshops in partnership with Jelly.
Workshop participants are required to bring their own art materials and drawing boards. All artistic capabilities and confidence levels welcome.
Monday 10th October – Theme: THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY. Saddle up and ride on out across the mighty plains, squinting into the sunset with your sharpest pencils in your holster! Spaghetti Western-inspired outlaw cowboys Matt ‘The Rat’ Hulse and Sheriff Jim Attewell will co-host / co-model, supported by cinematic projections and a stirring soundtrack.
Monday 14th November – Theme: DRACULA. Darkness has descended upon our much-maligned town and from the long sleep of the dead evil has awoken! So, too, has vampire model Laura de Moxom who has risen: a sleek, striking apparition in black and white (plus a touch of red). Expect dramatic lighting, strong shadows, a chilling soundtrack – a night to remember! Garlic, stakes and silver bullets optional.
