Celebratory music by Handel, Purcell, Bingham and others

Reading Bach Choir are returning to the church of St Thomas of Canterbury, Goring, for a concert of music inspired by royal occasions – births, deaths, marriages and, of course, coronations. Music will include both well-known items (Parry’s I was glad, and Handel’s Zadok the Priest for example) but also lesser-known pieces by well-known composers, such as Purcell, Bach and Brahms. These all combine to produce a vibrant tapestry of music in time for this spring’s celebrations. The choir will be led by Musical Director Daniel Mahoney and accompanied on the church's newly-refurbished organ by Gavin Roberts.
