Pete Morton
Pete Morton has been touring the folk scene throughout Europe, North America and beyond for almost thirty years, performing his self penned songs of social commentary that are deeply embedded with music of the British Isles, alongside original interpretations of traditional ballads. Throughout that time he has been highly regarded as one of the best on the contemporary roots music scene.
With a catalogue of studio albums recorded over the years, he continues to perform on guitar and write, yet considering himself a singer first and foremost.
Often referred to as an old style troubadour he has a compelling stage presence and approachable style, that delivers his unruly mix of humour, politics, love and social comment wrapping their way around the tradition. Songs like ‘Another Train’ and ‘When we sing together’ have become folk club standards.
