Judy wants to live like it’s the fifties - gender roles and all. She used to work in a grey office, but now she joyfully stays busy in their perfect home, doing everything for her husband. She cleans and cooks her days away in the dream they’ve built together. Isn’t this what feminism was for - getting to choose what works for you?
Johnny met Judy at a retro convention – he loved the cars and community, she loved the dancing and classic films. Wasn’t it all so lovely, so simple, so good? An ideal time, when everyone knew what was expected of them. Where, if you did the right things in the right order, everything just… worked. But as their friends, family and colleagues look on, Johnny starts to question their choices.
A brilliant modern comedy with a retro twist!
The performance on Tuesday 26 May will be a Relaxed Performance.
We are exploring the possibility of including integrated BSL sign language interpretation as part of the performance on Thursday 28 May.
