PACT is hosting a rare screening of the powerful documentary HOLLOWAY, followed by a Q&A with an expert panel.
HOLLOWAY is a profound, meditative, eye-opening and ultimately inspiring exploration of trauma and the immense human capacity for recovery. HOLLOWAY sees six women return to the now abandoned Holloway Prison to take part in a women’s circle. Sharing some of the most intimate experiences of their lives, they each explore what led them to prison, building an eye-opening portrait of systemic failure and trauma, while discovering their extraordinary capacity to heal through sisterhood.

Tickets: £5 per person - the ticket charge is to cover costs of the screening. Any proceeds will go to support the work of Alana House and PACT.
Directed by BAFTA Breakthrough Daisy-May Hudson (Lollipop, Half Way) and EMMY-nominated Sophie Compton (Another Body), this deeply moving and transformational documentary feature was made via a unique process of a trauma-informed co-creation with six contributors: Aliyah Ali, Mandy Ogunmokun, Sarah Cassidy, Lady Unchained, Gerrah, and Tamar Mujanay. This group of talented, high-profile women run charities and use their lived-experience to call for change.
- 52% of women in prison were abused as children
- 70% of women reported they had experienced domestic abuse
- 31% were taken into care as children
Following the screening there will be a Q&A, hosted by CEO Natausha van Vliet and expert panellists including: Kathryn Warner -Director of Community Services and Development, Catherine Parfitt – Chief Inspector, Custody South, Thames Valley Police, and Mairead O’Hanlon – Senior Probation Officer, Women’s Strategic Lead.
