Parenthesis Choir 30th Anniversary Concert
Accompanied by a professional orchestra and soloists, Parenthesis are proud to present their 30th anniversary concert.
- Mozart - Requiem
- Haydn - Nelson Mass
Many will be familiar with the music of Mozart’s Requiem through the film of Amadeus (1984) a fictionalised story. Enjoy the thrill of experiencing a live performance of his music from the thunderous anger of Dies Irae to the mournful Lacrimosa. We will also be performing Joseph Haydn’s masterpeice, Missa in Angustiis (Mass for Troubled Times), more commonly known as the Nelson Mass, and described as an energetic and tempestuous piece of music.
Haydn and Mozart were friends and through the 1780’s in Vienna, they played together in impromptu quartets, Haydn playing the violin and Mozart the viola.
This is a concert you won’t want to miss – a musical delight for performers and audiences alike. So, whether or not you’ve experienced the thrill of live music, be sure to book your tickets for this spectacular concert.
