50th Gala Concert
A Gala concert to celebrate 50 years of Pangbourne Choral Society
Our ‘founding’ Music Director, Ralph Allwood, will join Sara Benbow together with other former Music Directors: Bob Barsby and Jonathan Brown.
Pangbourne Choral Society will be accompanied by Andy Stancliffe on organ and Liz Collins on piano.
The Programme includes:
- Howells Collegium Regale, Jubilate
- Regina Spektor arranged by Gryke – The Call
- Handel – Zadok the Priest
- Mozart – Ave verum corpus
- Brahms – Wie lieblich sind deine wohnungen (How lovely are Thy Dwellings) (from German Requiem)
INTERVAL (with drinks available for a donation)
- Haydn – The heavens are telling (from Creation)
- Chilcott – Shenandoah
- Mendelssohn – On wings of song
- Trad. – How can I keep from singing?
- Michael Kamen arranged for voice by Carlsson – Band of Brothers
- Parry – I was glad
Doors will open from 6.30pm - Concert Begins at 7:30pm
