Fledglings at Home
A pilot online session for under-5s and their grown-ups
We invite you to play along with us in our first online ‘Fledglings at Home’ pilot session, designed for under-5s and their grown-ups.
The session is 40 minutes long and led by Charlotte, a local teacher and Level 3 Forest Leader. If successful, we hope to continue weekly with changing themes. They will focus on exploration of the natural environment and the changing seasons and involve story-telling, craft activities and singing with connections to The Museum of English Rural Life and its topics and collections. Whether you are a previous Friday Fledglings regular or have never visited the museum before, let us welcome you to our community virtually.
We hope to continue these sessions until we are able to run our museum garden sessions once again.
Additional information:
- Free
- Book in advance, places are limited
- Sessions will be live on Zoom. Log in details will be shared the day before the session, along with details of any materials you may need.
During and following the session we hope to share an idea for a simple activity to be done during the following week. We’d love it if you could share your work at home on these with us on our Friday Fledglings Facebook page. There is no expectation that you will follow the set way of doing these creative activities and if your children use the resources in a totally different way, we would love to see these too.
Thank you to Arts Council England and the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund for making this possible.
This event has already taken place.
