Launchpad's Carols By Candlelight 2025

Launchpad’s Carols by Candlelight is returning to Reading Town Hall on Tuesday 2nd December.

Our heart-warming evening of festive music, readings, and client stories will be hosted by Launchpad Patron Matt Allwright, known for his work on BBC’s Watchdog and The One Show. The event promises to be a joyful celebration of community, compassion, and hope.

Guests will be treated to performances by two brilliant local choirs:

  • Universal Voices – a vibrant community choir for children aged 7–11, based at the University of Reading’s Institute of Education
  • Tonyx Choir – a talented quartet of ladies singing in barbershop harmony

The show will begin at 6pm, with doors opening at 5pm for guests to arrive, grab a drink in the Waterhouse bar, buy some raffle tickets and soak in the festive atmosphere.

Alongside the music, the evening will feature seasonal readings and powerful stories from Launchpad clients, highlighting the impact of the charity’s work in supporting vulnerable people across Reading.

Whether you’re looking to kick off the festive season with beautiful carols or support a vital local cause, Carols by Candlelight is an event not to be missed.

Every ticket sale will help Launchpad continue to provide homes for Reading’s most vulnerable this winter. Launchpad’s supported housing offers warm, clean, and safe accommodation for over 100 people in need – which are a lifeline to the many individuals, couples, and families at risk of homelessness, or who have already lost their homes.

For anyone that is unable to attend, you can still support our work with a donation so we can help ensure local people have a roof over their head and a place to call home, for Christmas and beyond. Simply visit launchpadreading.org.uk/donate
