Discover watercolours and learn how to bring animals and botanicals to life through atmospheric washes, delicate layering, and expressive mark-making.
This workshop explores a blend of controlled technique and creative looseness, guiding you from soft, flowing backgrounds to lively, textured animal studies. You’ll learn to build depth through glazing, create luminous highlights with lifting and negative painting, and use energetic brushwork to suggest fur and organic detail.
Throughout the session, you’ll complete warm-up exercises, guided studies, and a final personal piece that brings together botanical elements and vibrant wildlife. Perfect for adults with some basic watercolour experience or adventurous beginners, this workshop encourages experimentation, play, and the development of your own unique style—all while building confidence with watercolour’s most captivating techniques.
