We are pleased to introduce Tomasso Starace to the stage of the Progress Theatre, presenting music from his recent album The Power of Three. a unique collaboration between reed player Tomasso, piano virtuoso Jim Watson and bass maestro Dave Chamberlain.

The project explores some of the tunes that Tommaso has most enjoyed playing in concert over recent years. Embracing a broad spectrum of of genres, from Swing to Fusion, they draw on the work of composers as richly varied as jazz greats Chick Corea and Bobby Timmons, Italian vocalist Pino Daniel, Stevie Wonder and film writer Ennio Morricone, as well as Tommaso's original compositions.

Tomasso has played and collaborated with many great musicians including Bill Cobham, Kenny Wheeler, Lawrence Cottle, Liam Noble, Jonathan Gee and Jim Mullen and has recorded extensively with numerous albums as a leader.

'He soars assertively when needed, cajoles and caresses with 'molto'  lyricism on the ballads and demonstrates that it is possible for contemporary jazz to be accessible.'  Lance Liddle (Bebop Spoken Here)
