Reading's own trumpet hero, Stuart Henderson, teams up with award-winning multi-saxophonist, Karen Sharp, the UK's 1st Lady of Jazz, as Partners in Time, a tribute to the classic trumpet/saxophone partnerships of jazz - Miles Davis/John Coltrane, Chet Baker/Gerry Mulligan, Donald Byrd/Pepper Adams, Clifford Brown/Harold Land, Lee Morgan/Joe Henderson and Dizzy Gilllespie /James Moody.
The brilliant Leon Greening will be on hand to add his sparkling piano fireworks to the mix, along with formidable rhythm talents of Raph Mizraki on bass and Simon Price on drums.
As anyone who has seen this line-up in action at a Sunday afternoon session at Reading's legendary Retreat pub will affirm, this promises to be the swiningest gig of the year. Early booking is advised!
