Moscow Drug Club

Don't miss this knock-out Christmas Special

-

Moscow Drug Club: Katya Gorrie vocals, Jonny Bunce trumpet, Mirek Salmon accordion, Andy Bowen guitar, Andy Crowdy bass

You are cordially invited to celebrate  Christmas in the darkly comic company of Katya Gorrie and her troubadours as she opens the Moscow Drug Club for one night only at the Progress Theatre.

Moscow Drug Club (named after the song by BB Gabor) is a curious musical place of World Jazz and Folk where elements of 1930's Berlin cabaret rub shoulders with the Hot Club de France, Nuevo Tango and even Gypsy Campfire.

Imagine having a drink and staggering arm-in-arm into the darkness of an eastern European cobbled street on a mission to find a bar where Django Reinhardt is having an after-hours jam with Tom Waits and the local Tziganes.

Combining original material with songs by the likes of Jacques Brel, Leonard Cohn, Berthold Brecht and Eartha Kitt, Moscow Drug Club deliver an innovating and intimate musical experience. A 'knock-out performance,' is guaranteed.
