Alex Clarke Quartet: Alex Clarke alto & tenor saxophones, Rob Barron piano, Dave Green bass, Clark Tracey drums

Alex Clarke -  winner of the Rising Star category of the 2019 Jazz Awards, finalist in the 2020 BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year competition, nominee in the Parliamentary Jazz Awards for 2021 and 2022 and a star of the 2022 Swanage Jazz Festival - is one of the most melodic and versatile young saxophonists on the UK jazz scene. Her sound is steeped in the finest of jazz traditions and reminiscent of Scott Hamilton and Lester Young, with strong influences of Phil Woods and Cannonball Adderley

Alex will be joined by a rhythm section of 'Rolls Royce' stature, comprising of three of the UK's most experienced, accomplished and much-loved musicians - Rob Barron, Dave Green and Clark Tracey. 

Alex's melodic sound and intelligent ear for harmony will showcase an authentic homage to the art of straight-ahead bebop.
