“My 5 year old could do that!”…and maybe you should too.

Explore abstract forms and the joy of child-like making.

This workshop, led by Open Collective artist Cherry Dodd, invites you to explore abstract form development tapping into the child-like joy of playing with colour and shape. With a focus on DIY and art-making using low cost materials let’s play with formality and convention.

We will begin with a short, clothed life drawing session focusing on capturing the essences of bodily shape and creating representative symbols of real sensations.

We will then explore transforming these shapes and symbols through either 2D or 3D forms.

Materials provided will include paper, tape, PVA, poster paints and coloured crayons. Any additional materials you would like to use please bring with you!
