The History of Reading Society are continuing their in person meetings at the Abbey Baptist Church, Abbey Square, Reading RG1 3BE, at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm) on Wednesday 17th April at 7.30pm, when Ann Smith will tell us all about 'The History of Woodley'.

This talk describes how a village grew into a suburb of Reading with its own hidden history! Ann published a book with the help of local U3A groups. Formerly a librarian at Reading Central Library, currently she is membership secretary of Berkshire Local History Association.

This meeting is open to members and visitors (visitors £2 each). No need to book, just turn up on the night.
