AGM followed by The History of Reading Civic Society

The History of Reading Society are holding their next in person meeting at the Abbey Baptist Church, Abbey Square, Reading RG1 3BE, at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm) on Wednesday 20th March at 7.30pm, when, following a short AGM, Richard Bennett, will tell us all about 'The History of Reading Civic Society'.
Richard Bennett is Chair of the society. He has worked for a brewery, British Rail and the MOD. In 2018 he was made a Deputy Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire. Richard will tell us how the society was formed and about some of its campaigns and projects, including working with developers to build better for Reading’s future.
This meeting is open to members and visitors (visitors £2 each). No need to book, just turn up on the night.
