Reading Screening of HM Queen Elizabeth II Funeral

**Tickets for this event have now sold out**
Ticket Holders: Please read the event Terms & Conditions, downloadable below.

Residents are invited to watch the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in the Forbury Gardens on Monday, 19 September.

Reading Borough Council has arranged for live coverage to be shown in the Forbury Gardens, to give residents and visitors the opportunity to watch the historic moment and reflect collectively as a community.

On the morning of Monday, 19 September, the Lying-in-State of Queen Elizabeth II will end, and the coffin will be taken in procession from the Palace of Westminster to Westminster Abbey, where the State Funeral Service will take place.  Following the state funeral, the coffin will travel in procession from Westminster Abbey to Wellington Arch. From Wellington Arch, the coffin will travel to Windsor and once there, the state hearse will travel in procession to St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle via the Long Walk. A committal service will then take place in St George's Chapel.

Live coverage of the state funeral and procession to Windsor will be shown in Reading’s Forbury Gardens.

We do expect demand to be high and would therefore like residents to register for their place.

We will open the gates to those who have registered for a place at 9.30am ahead of the funeral starting at 11am.
There will be some limited seating but we recommend people bring their own seating for the screening and a dedicated area for people with disabilities will also be available - this will need to pre booked through the box office.
Only digital e tickets will be available.
