Based on the 2005 film of the same name, Kinky Boots tells the story of Charlie, a factory owner struggling to save his family shoe business, and Lola, a fabulous entertainer with a wildly exciting idea. With a little compassion, and a lot of understanding, the unexpected pair learn to embrace their differences and create a line of sturdy stilettos unlike any the world has ever seen. The West End production of Kinky Boots was filmed live during its run at the Adelphi Theatre. Book by Harvey Fierstein, music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper.
