The current church of All Saints in Wokingham is grade II listed and described by the National Churches Trust as being of “outstanding architectural and historic interest”. Founded in the twelfth century, it replaced a wooden Saxon chapel. The current building has been restored, remodelled and altered throughout it’s history, the last extensive restoration and rebuild taking place under Woodyer in 1863-4. Look out for the fifteenth century octagonal font and Hardman’s East window.
Our visit will include a tour by John Hook who will introduce us to the history of the church, parish and its people.
11am - 12.30pm
Numbers are limited, so pre-booking is required. Bookings close three days beforehand.
