Freedom Festival for Falasteen

The goal: to platform local Reading creators who are pro-Palestine. To bring the local community of people who want a Free Palestine together.

Whilst organised by Reading Queers 4 Palestine, all are welcome, especially if they hold a place for Palestine in their hearts. After covering venue fees, the ticket sales will be split between paying performers and donating to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) and antifascist causes.

  • 2pm-7pm ARTY ROOM with spoken word, storytelling, chill music and more
  • 3pm-10:30pm PARTY ROOM with pro-Pally disco, market stalls, live music, drag and more
  • 10:30pm-late Goth Club Night

During the day, there will be a variety of performances to enjoy in our Arty room (poetry and spoken word, storytelling, local authors, artists, acoustic/lo-fi acts etc) and our Party room (live music, burlesque, drag, comedy). There will also be market stalls featuring local creators and handmade items (no 3D printing/Amazon/Shein/Temu/AI created products allowed). We will also have a letter writing station so you can hand-write a letter to activists currently imprisoned such as the Filton 8. No one will be turned away for lack of funds, and this event is community-organised by volunteers.

The festival after-party is a club night featuring your favourite goth bangers. We have listed separate tickets for those unable to join us during the day.

  • Live music curated by Skeeta Sounds
  • Arty room featuring White Kite Collective
  • Coordinated and produced by @bigjaydrag / Iota
