Held on the first Sunday of each month at 7.30pm reading Slam is a friendly, open mic poetry competition hosted by The Legend that is Richard Stephenson. The winner gets to compete the following January to be crowned the Dreading Slam Champion for a year.
Dreading Slam welcomes poets of all standards along with those who wish to join the audience for an evening of live poetry.
In addition to the main event there will be the chance to read noncompetitively any poem (yours or any favourite up to 3 minutes in length)
We also run an open mic lively quick fire round of short poems. Up to 5 line long on a different theme each month.
If you wish to take part in the Poetry Slam, please bring 3 poems of your own work (up to a maximum of 3 minutes in length)
