The scary side of Zoology
Open to ALL - Book your FREE place and join us as Professor Jon Gibbins explores some of the Cole Museum specimens and their links to biomedicine. It might seem surprising, but the origins of some medicines that we use today lie in the clever chemical tricks that animals use to survive. We will learn about the amazing ways that animals, from insects to reptiles, have helped us understand how our bodies work, and helped us prevent and treat diseases.
Doors open: 19:15 (allowing for an opportunity to look around the museum).
Talk starts: 19:30
