Club Velocity/Good Wrecking Tonight present Graveyard Johnnys

w/Henry And The Bleeders & Planet Strange

Graveyard Johnnys
Founded by Tom Lord and Joe Grogan in 2008, The Graveyard Johnnys began to steadily build a reputation as an excellent live band in the rockabilly scene. Their first self-produced single, Streetblocks and City Lights, was played on the Radio 1 Punk Show, which the band said caused every pressing of the single to sell out. This was followed by further appearances in the BBC Studio for various sessions. Despite the initial big attention, the Graveyard Johnnys continued touring, which led to the wear and tear of two full-time guitarists and thereafter resulted in the following gigs being played by different guitarists. It wasn't until the Graveyard Johnnys tour bus died on the 2011 European tour that Tom and Joe decided it was time to take a break from touring and focus on the studio album. This is how her debut album Songs from Better Days came about during this time
