Beans On Toast: Back out on the Road - 2023

Fri 24 Mar 2023, Door time: 8:00pm, Start time: 8:30pm

This Is Now Agency Presents Beans on Toast: Back out on the Road - 2023

Outlaw Folk musician ‘Beans on Toast’ will be hitting the road next Spring, with a mahoosive ramble around the countries finest independent venues.

One man and his guitar with songs to sing and stories to tell. Unafraid to tackle the big issues of the day, but doing so with his feet firmly on the ground. He’s an unrepenting optimist who’s songs celebrate all that is wonderful about the human spirit.

Folk music is an age old art form and it’s more relevant that ever in these wild and crazy modern times.

You can expect a gig that is both inspiring and entertaining, a relaxed and fun affair that leaves you feeling like you've met up with an old friend, and you're all the better for it.

Support: Guise

GUISE is the heart and soul of pop-folk singer-songwriter Jess Guise. Possessed of a remarkable folk lilt and with influences coming from Dar Williams, Anais Mitchell and Stevie Nicks, she sings with delicacy whilst landing some vicious asides - by turns sweet, funny, and haunting. Whilst locked down with her husband, Frank Turner, Jess won the hearts of his large and welcoming fan base through their weekly livestreams raising funds for live venues, and a buzz rose us around her music in that world. Jess and the band have been building on that buzz, honing their live craft on the road, most recently supporting Will Varley on his UK tour. Previous support slots saw Jess and the band share stages with Richard Thompson, Frank Turner, Will Varley, The Arkells and Sean McGowan.
