Requiem for a Queen

This autumn, The Cecilia Consort brings two well-loved Masses from the choral repertoire to the glorious acoustic of Douai Abbey, in a concert titled ‘Requiem for a Queen’.

Howard Goodall’s ‘Eternal Light’ alternates passionate excitement with serene melodies, and Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem features the haunting ‘Pie Jesu’ amidst other calm and meditative movements.
