A Hundred Years of Shopping in Reading

Ann Smith, a well-known local historian, will be speaking to BIAG about our old shops. Many people remember Jacksons department store in Reading.  It was in business for over a hundred years. But there are other forgotten shops, and this talk will look at the changes over the last hundred years by taking a virtual walk round the town centre.
