Outdoor cinema, but not like you’ve seen before! Coming to Reading Abbey Ruins this summer, the Frontier Sapiens Film Festival is the UK’s largest open-air adventure film tour and is bringing inspiration and adventure to the big screen OUTDOORS.

Join us for an evening under the stars watching a collection of extraordinary short films featuring epic adventures, cultural stories and environmental issues from some of the world’s best filmmakers.

Huge new ski descents on the iconic Baffin Island, the rehabilitation of race horses in the mountains of Mallorca, a visionary base jump in Pakistan, and lots more. The 2024 line-up is not one to be missed. Tell your friends, book your tickets, pack your picnics and join us in August!

Seating - Ticket purchase does not include seating, but you are welcome to bring your own blankets, cushions or camping chairs to enjoy the show on the grass. Alternatively, you can reserve a deck chair at the time of ticket purchase (limited available).

​Food and Drink - You are welcome to bring your own food and drink to enjoy during the screening. Drinks and food options will be available on site.
