University of Reading Music - Remembrance

Please join us in remembering the University's and Reading Community's contribution to the war efforts, through readings and music.

Join us for a reflective evening of music, remembrance and community, led by students from Reading University Music Society in collaboration with members of the wider University and local community.

The service has been created and organised by students as a personal and communal act of remembrance. Guests can expect a varied programme of musical performances from University students, alongside readings, reflections and contributions from invited representatives of the University and wider community.

Through music and spoken contributions, the evening will provide an opportunity to remember those who have served and sacrificed, reflect on the experiences of those affected by conflict, and consider the importance of peace and community.

We hope to create a respectful and welcoming environment where everyone can come together to remember, listen and reflect.

We warmly welcome students, staff, veterans, community organisations and members of the wider public to join us for this student-led evening of remembrance.
