Musical Kaleidoscope

Join Woodley Concert Band for an evening of colour, contrast and joyful music as we present “Musical Kaleidoscope”! A kaleidoscope is bright, with changing patterns, and always joyful – and that is exactly what you can expect from WCB's autumn concert. 

A lively arrangement of the Mickey Mouse March will get your toes tapping, whilst the cheerful Entry of the Gladiators – the unmistakable theme of circus clowns everywhere – will take you straight to the big top. For something more adventurous, Paul Hart’s Cartoon conjures up everything you might expect from a classic crazy cartoon, with the help of lots of percussion, and Festivo by Edward Gregson brings a different kind of energy with exuberant, changing rhythms which we know you will love.
For those who love a touch of the Proms, there are familiar favourites too: Wood’s Fantasia on British Sea Songs (featuring Rule Britannia) and Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance March No.1 (Land of Hope and Glory), both featuring Dani May, our fabulous guest singer. Old favourites and new discoveries come together in a concert which will definitely brighten your October evening!

For this concert, WCB is back in their local venue at Bulmershe School, with with comfortable seating, easy access by public transport and plentiful parking.

FREE TICKETS! WCB First Timers Scheme
If you’ve never been to a WCB concert before, we’d be delighted to offer you a FREE ticket to our concert under our First Timers scheme. We’re passionate about our music-making and we believe that if you come along to enjoy one of our performances, you’ll get as excited as we are and hopefully come back to see future concerts.  All we ask in return is that you sign up to our mailing list (you can unsubscribe at any time) and fill out a short survey after the concert.
