Dawn Chorus on Fobney Marsh

Reading Walks Festival 2026

Join the Marshians at daybreak to enjoy the wonders of the Dawn Chorus on Fobney Marsh.

Type of Walk
Guided tour - learning something new / more talking and less walking

More detail
This circular and leisurely walk will start just as the dawn chorus kicks off. The chorus here is really spectacular and many birds here are found nowhere else in Reading. The marsh is being managed as a wildlife haven by the Marshians and the results are really spectacular. There's a lot more to enjoy once the main chorus is over, and we'll be able to identify individual birds by their songs, and see some of the other amazing wildlife of the marsh.
