With music chosen around the themes of conflict, oppression, and resolution, we hope to bring light as well as dark to these evocative subjects. Pieces such as Blow’s Salvator Mundi and Greene’s Lord Let Me Know Mine End share a programme with spirituals arranged by Tippett and Hogan, movements from the Requiem by Rutter, and a newly composed and cheerful setting of the Jubilate Deo. In the beautiful setting of Christ Church, Reading, we look forward to some lovely a capella works to complement those with organ accompaniment.
Free admission, with a retiring collection in aid of the Reading Ukrainian Community Centre.
