Music Around the World marks a special moment for Trinity Concert Band, as we open our 25th anniversary year with a truly global musical journey.
Join us for an evening of music inspired by places, people, and cultures from across the globe. Our programme travels from the energy of the United States in The Washington Post, Shenandoah and New York, to the rich folk traditions of Ireland and Scotland in Irish Tune from County Derry and Lord Tullamore. We visit continental Europe with Dvořák’s vibrant Slavonic Dances, venture to South America with the powerful Amazonia, and head further afield to New Zealand in Philip Sparke’s evocative Land of the Long White Cloud. The concert also includes A Yorkshire Overture, celebrating music closer to home, and the swashbuckling excitement of Pirates of the Caribbean.
A highlight of the programme is American Elegy by Frank Ticheli — a moving and reflective work composed in memory of those who lost their lives at Columbine High School, and in honour of the survivors.
This concert also raises funds for our 2026 charity partner, Parenting Special Children, supporting families of children and young people with additional needs.
Celebrate our anniversary year with us and enjoy an evening of music that truly spans the world – all in the beautiful setting of All Saints Church, Wokingham.
