Heroes and Villains!

Join Woodley Concert Band for an evening of thrilling music from epic heroes to dastardly villains! You only have to hear the distinctive opening fanfare to know that Superman is on his way whilst a certain jazzy introduction tells you that Cruella De Vil might be just around the corner. Our Heroes and Villains concert features these characters and many more!  As well as characters from fiction, we'll be celebrating some real-life heroes – from sporting ones in Olympic Spirit by John Williams, to wartime ones with music from the film Cockleshell Heroes. And our rogues gallery is equally impressive – could there be a bigger villain found in music than Sweeney Todd? And when we get to Star Wars, we've naturally got both sides of the divide! We’ll also be joined by vocal soloists bringing some of these characters to life. It promises to be a great night out!

FREE TICKETS! WCB First Timers Scheme

If you’ve never been to a WCB concert before, we’d be delighted to offer you a FREE ticket to our concert under our First Timers scheme. We’re passionate about our music-making and we believe that if you come along to enjoy one of our performances, you’ll get as excited as we are and hopefully come back to see future concerts (we’ve got some great music coming up this year!)
