Launchpad is thrilled to announce that Walkies! is back, a heartwarming fundraising event that invites dog owners and their furry companions to walk together and raise vital funds to support people experiencing homelessness.
Did you know that Launchpad is one of the few homeless charities in the area who allow dogs at their properties? We don’t think people should have to choose between a safe home and their beloved pet. That’s why Walkies! is a perfect match for Launchpad.
Whether you’ve got a sprightly spaniel or a chilled-out chihuahua, Walkies! is all about community, compassion, and canine-powered kindness. Every step you take helps provide shelter, support, and hope to those who need it most.
Here’s how Walkies! works:
- Sign up online at launchpadreading.org.uk/Walkies25
(and your furry friend will receive a limited edition launchpad bandana) - Get sponsored by friends, family, and fellow dog lovers
- Walk between October 1 and October 31. We suggest 1.8km a day (1,800 metres) as last year we helped over 1,800 people who were homeless or at risk of losing their homes.
There are prizes for the most pawsome participants!
