About us
Joseph is a Wood Carver and Wood Carving Tutor, Sculptor and Carpenter based in Berkshire. He took a traditional route to woodcarving through an apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery, working for a number of years on-site before training in classical woodcarving at City and Guilds of London Art School.
His work combines conservation and restoration carving with commissions for original sculpture, uniting traditional methods with contemporary forms and themes while capturing fleeting moments in the natural world.
He has worked on a number of iconic historic buildings including the Houses of Parliament as well as Grade 1 houses and suburban family homes. Joseph has tutored Joinery (Conservation) and Woodcarving (2nd & 3rd year) at City & Guilds London Art School.
