Ce soir Antonia des Forges racontera l'histoire d'une petite librairie iconique à Paris .  

C'est une histoire personnelle mais surtout il s'agit de deux magasins de ce nom et de ses propriétaires américains qui ont lancé les carrières de beaucoup d'écrivains  pendant les années où Paris était le centre intellectuel pour les exilés artistiques et  littéraires anglo-américains.

Cette tradition continue aujourd'hui grâce à la  vision de la fille du propriétaire original et  la librairie reçoit des milliers de visiteurs par an du monde entier dont quelques-uns achètent des livres!  

This evening, Antonia des Forges will tell us about the history of an iconic little bookshop in Paris.

As well as being a personal story, more importantly, it's about two shops of that name and their American owners, who launched the careers of lots of writers at the time when Paris was the intellectual centre for Anglo-American literary folk and artists in exile.  

The tradition continues to this day thanks to the vision of the daughter of the original proprietor, and the book shop receives millions of visitors each year from around the world, some of whom buy books!
