The Wombats have been stalwarts of the indie scene in the UK since the release of their debut album A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation in 2007. Over the last 18 years the trio have managed to amass a hugely impressive list of bangers from their 6 albums; with tracks like ‘Turn’, ‘Greek Tragedy’, ‘Moving to New York’, and of course ‘Let's Dance To Joy Division’, which won the NME Award for Best Dancefloor Filler in 2008.
The band have also been nominated for an MTV Europe Award, and regularly top the bill at festivals around the world, as well as touring arenas across the UK. They achieved their first UK No.1 album in 2022 with Fix Yourself, Not The World, and have sold over a million records worldwide.
2025 has seen The Wombats release their 6th studio album, Oh! The Ocean, which expands the band’s guitar filled sound to the furthest it's ever been, resulting in an album more ambitious and polished than anything produced to date.
Doves recently completed their first UK tour in 15 years, in support of their sixth studio album Constellations For The Lonely. It is the follow up to 2020's UK No.1 album The Universal Want.
The band, originally from Manchester, consist of Jimi Goodwin, Andy Williams and Jez Williams – brothers Andy and Jez will be fronting the band for this show.
After arriving with two Mercury Prize nominated albums, Lost Souls in 2000, and the chart-topping The Last Broadcast in 2002, Doves released their second, successive UK No.1 album Some Cities in 2005 before following it with 2009's Kingdom Of Rust.
With over a million UK album sales, 2 No.1 albums, (3 Top 10s), and 5 Top 20 singles, Hard-Fi have been a phenomenon. Having made their debut with the Mercury Prize-shortlisted Stars Of CCTV in 2005, the four-piece proved progressive yet accessible. The album yielded singles that included ‘Hard To Beat’, ‘Living For The Weekend’ and ‘Cash Machine’, which reached number 1, and has since been certified double platinum in the UK alone.
Following this they released their second album Once Upon A Time In The West, which also topped the charts. The band also played one of the longest residencies at O2 Academy Brixton, a fully sold-out feat they share with the likes of Bob Dylan, and The Clash, after performing at the landmark London venue for five nights straight in 2006.
In November 2024 they released their first new music in a decade with the Don’t Go Making Plans EP.
Multi-talented musician, producer and songwriter Alfie Templeman will open the event, following on from the release of two critically acclaimed albums – Mellow Moon in 2022, a The Guardian Album of the Week, and 2024’s Radiosoul. The latter included the single ‘Just a Dance’, which was co-produced by Nile Rodgers who also performed on the track.
