Join artist in residence at Jelly studios - Jim Pooley for a talk where he will share his arts practice and residency experience.
Jim predominantly makes sculptural work, creating forms in diverse media particularly stone, metal and glass. His practice is highly process-driven and he enjoys experimenting with techniques and combining materials in novel ways.
He is a board member of the Engine Room, an arts and mental health project that creates a space for individuals to access creative opportunities that will support empowerment, recovery and creative development
During this residency, while carving wax masters for bronze casting, he will record an aesthetic diary to assess the emotional impact of various aspects of the creative journey.
