Poets' Café: Pilgrimage for Palestine

A poetry and art event

Poets' Café are honoured to be hosting Pilgrimage for Palestine at the University of Reading's Palmer Building, Room 105.

Southwest poet Peter Oswald is undertaking a 13-day hunger march from Bristol to Parliament Square (March 18-30, 2025), walking while fasting during Ramadan in solidarity with Palestine. Along the route, poetry readings will amplify voices from Gaza and around the world.

Poets Peter and Alice Oswald will be joined by local poets including A.F. Harrold for an evening of poetry and spoken word to hear the stories and voices of children in Palestine performed by guest readers.

This event is supported by the Bristol Palestine AllianceReading's Poet's Cafe, and the Hands Up Project, an educational charity that connects schoolchildren in Palestine with volunteer teachers and others around the world. It will be possible to make a donation in support of the Hands Up Project at the event.
