Evening Intermediates' Sewing Course (Jan-Mar)

9-week sewing course for intermediates.
Improve your skills and learn new techinques!
Dates: 9, 16, 23, 30th January, 6, 13, 27th February; 6, 13th March
Time: 17:00 to 18:40
Topics covered: Panel lines
Yokes
Different waistbands, stitch in the ditch, on the fold, top stitching
Sewing machine feet, rolled hem, over casting, blind hem, button hole and sewing on a button
Cutting out a pattern and fabric of your choice of a project to work on. (You will need to bring your own pattern and fabric.)
This is just a guide of what we will cover in the course. Some topics may carry on to the following week and some weeks we might get through quickly, so we’re move on to the next thing.
This course is taught by Victoria Beaumont of Stitches in Reading. Her instruction is from 17:00 to 18:40, but you are welcome to come to the space from 15:00 and stay until 19:00, to practice what you learnt or work on other projects.

What's included in the price: The instruction, the use of the workstation (no need to bring your own sewing machine!) and the space until from 15:00 to 19:00, thread, printed handouts, beverages and biscuits.
What's not included in the price: The pattern and fabric of the garment you choose to construct. We can give you guidance on what to buy and where.
